I met Bill Jacobson online over at www.bgdf.com. He's the inventor of Portrayal and the founder of BrainCog. That's got to be one of the best names for a game company that I've ever heard, by the way.

Don't be fooled by this spotlight: Mindfield is a tough game. As tough as the trivia is, however, it's still a lot of fun to play. The topic (military history) is just so darned intriguing that it's tough to resist!

It's tough enough to design a word-game that is fun. Designing one that's not scrabble is even tougher. Designing one around anagrams? Well, I think shaving ants might be easier. The spotlight today is on a game (and a game designer) that successfully pulled off that most difficult of feats.
